This type of spike guardrail is driven by an electric motor mounted in front of the main gate. Mostly, it’s on the rise. When an authorized vehicle enters, the security personnel can use the remote control or manual switch to put down the spike. It can be integrated with all access control systems or parking systems.

Spike guardrails are often used in conjunction with parking lane guardrails and traffic lights. When the green light comes on, the tire killer spikes will turn off and the parking arms will raise. When the red light comes on, the parking arm will close and the spike will go up. This is to avoid the spikes from damaging the vehicle tires. They can also be equipped with loop detection coils for automatic shutdown, beam sensors for safety. We have standard sizes, but we can also customize according to customers’ requirements.
